%%short-description: Desk calculator and math tool

%%full-description: Calc is an advanced calculator and mathematical
tool, very roughly based on the HP-28/48 series of calculators, that
runs as part of Emacs.

It is an arbitrary precision arithmetic system that uses a C-like
language. It's useful as a calculator, an algorithm prototype, and as
a mathematical research tool. More importantly, calc provides a
machine-independent means of computation.

Its features include:
-Algebraic or RPN entry of calculations
     -Arbitrary precision integers and floating-point
     -Logarithms and trigonometric functions
-Programmer's features: bitwise operations, non-decimal numbers.
-Financial functions: future value, internal rate of return
-Number theory features: prime factors, arithmetic module M for any M
-Algebraic manipulation features, including symbolic calculus
-Moving data to and from regular editing buffers
-Embedded mode: manipulate calc formulas & data from an editing buffer -graphics using GNU Plot, a versatile and free plotting program.
